Spinach salad

Last Monday evening, I determined it was time to purchase Barclay a “sharp” tiny present.

Then they have a set of cookware, two little mixing bowls, and a handful of kitchen tools…but that’s about it. Oh, and the microwave is in the basement, and the oven doesn’t operate. (

So now the following time that we decide to make this apple spinach salad — a single of my all-time favored recipes that I make once more and once again this time of year — we can thinly slice these apples and onions (as Barc likes to say) “with peace in our hearts”. And a sharp knife in my band-aid-free of charge hand. )

Which is wonderful, since I’m presently hunting forward to this salad occurring once again.

It’s practically nothing notably original. But it’s a salad I’ve been making considering that I first learned to cook, and as such, it has turn into total comfort meals for me each year when the summer veggies begin to fade away and crisp apples come back in season.

The core substances are often the identical — tons of fresh little one spinach, lots of thinly-sliced crisp apples, soft cheese, nuts and a great tangy vinaigrette.
